We’re continuing our discussions with pupils about what good behaviour looks like in the classroom so that everyone can learn.

There are lots of events happening in the Summer Term. Please look at the dates later in the newsletter. We would like as many parents as possible to attend on Sports mornings and Parents’ afternoon!

Y6 SATs: 14-17th May 2018

Please remember that Y6 pupils will be taking SATs next week and that they all need to be here every day. We are offering a free breakfast club to all Y6 pupils from 8am.

Y4 visited Cadbury World on Tuesday 8th May. They had a terrific time as part of their project work. Here are some of their comments:

Super fun. A dive into the world of chocolate.”

Educational visits and events

Y1 are going to the West Midlands Safari Park on Thursday 17th May.

On Friday 18th May “Portals to the Past” will be visiting Y3 for their project on Stone Age.

Reception are going to Dudley Zoo on Thursday 24th May.

Sports mornings (weather permitting)

Tuesday 22nd May 9am: Phase 3 (Y4,5,6).

Wednesday 23rd May 9am: Phase 1 (Nursery and Reception).

Thursday 24th May 9am: Phase 2 (Y1, 2, 3).

Transition day is on 4th July, when pupils spend the day with their new teacher for September 2018.

Parents’ afternoon is on Wednesday 11th July: come and celebrate the end of the year with us.


This organisation is running functional skills classes for parents on Wednesday mornings in the Community House. Please see Mrs Downs if you would like to join.

Coffee morning

The next coffee morning will be on Tuesday 22nd May (NB not next week!) Please ask Mrs Downs if you are interested or just come along.

Stay and Play …

There will be a session on Thursday 24th May, but not next week. Please come along and join in the activities

Celebrations assembly

Thank you to Y3C who made the refreshments for this morning. Next week will be 2MB. Please come along and share the cooking that the children have done!

Summer Term 2018:

Monday 16th April-Friday 20th July 2018

Half Term: Monday 28th May-Friday 1st June 2018

Autumn term 2018 starts on Monday 3rd September. We will let you know about staff training days soon.

Progress meetings: Summer Term 2018

Thank you to everyone who has attended and completed a questionnaire. We will continue to gather parent views at events regularly, so please make sure you have your say. We collate the findings and make sure any actions are followed up.

If you have missed a progress meeting for any reason, please see your child’s teacher for an appointment.

English classes for parents run by BEEAS are now taking place in the Community House on Monday and Thursday mornings and lead to a recognised qualification. If you would like to join, please see Mrs Downs.
