We’ve had a lovely week with all three sports days dry and, sometimes, sunny! Thank you to everyone who helped. On Monday, Mrs Cook’s assemblies were about the Royal Wedding and British values. Have a look at the general knowledge questions at the end of the newsletter.
Next week is half term, so have a lovely week and we will see you on Monday 4th June.
Reception visited Dudley Zoo yesterday and had a wonderful day. The children were amazed at a snow leopard and other visitors to the zoo commented on how much they were enjoying themselves.
Educational visits and events
On 5th June, Y2 will be going to Thinktank.
On 18th June we will be having a special Eid meal at lunchtime. Everyone will be able to join in. Details to follow.
Transition day is on 4th July, when pupils spend the day with their new teacher for September 2018.
Parents’ afternoon is on Wednesday 11th July: come and celebrate the end of the year with us.
The next coffee morning will be on Tuesday 5th June. Please ask Mrs Downs if you are interested or just come along.

There will be a session on Thursday 7th June. Please come along and join in the activities
Thank you to Y2SB who made the refreshments for this morning. After half-term it will be 1T’s turn. Please come along and share the cooking that the children have done!

Progress meetings: Summer Term 2018
Thank you to everyone who has attended and completed a questionnaire. We will continue to gather parent views at events regularly, so please make sure you have your say. We collate the findings and make sure any actions are followed up.
If you have missed a progress meeting for any reason, please see your child’s teacher for an appointment.
Please make sure that you don’t park on the pavement, double yellow lines, or hatched area outside school. This is for the safety of all children and families. There are parking spaces in nearby streets and just across the park.
English classes for parents run by BEEAS are now taking place in the Community House on Monday and Thursday mornings and lead to a recognised qualification. If you would like to join, please see Mrs Downs.
