Eid Mubarak to everyone who is celebrating. We are looking forward to our Eid assemblies on Monday and a special Eid meal at lunchtime.

Mrs Berrow’s assemblies on Monday were about National Carers’ Week and we talked about who cares for us and how we can be caring towards others.

A letter went out to all families yesterday about arrangements for an academy sponsor for Brookfields. If you haven’t had yours please ask at the office

Little Red Hen production

On Monday, Reception will be seeing a production of “The Little Red Hen” in the hall. Mrs Hussain’s class at 9.30 and Miss Kettridge’s class at 1pm.

On Tuesday morning, Nursery will see the same production at 9.30

Parents of children in Nursery and Reception are welcome to join us for these productions – just turn up!

Next week:

On Monday, children in Reception are dressing as superheroes for the day. They will also be walking to Tesco to buy ingredients for a fruit salad!

On Monday morning, Y5 are going to the Nature Valley classic tennis tournament at Edgbaston Priory Sports Club. They will take part in a demonstration lesson and then watch the players on the courts.

On Tuesday, our choir will be singing at the Arc at St John’s Church.

Celebrations assembly

Thank you to 1C who made the refreshments for this morning. Please come along and share the cooking that the children have done! Next week will be RK’s turn.

End of term events.

Wednesday 4th July: pupils spend the day with their new teacher for September 2018 and Y6 visit their new school.

Wednesday 11th July: Parents’ afternoon: come and celebrate the end of the year with us.


This organisation is running functional skills classes for parents on Wednesday mornings in the Community House. BEEAS holds English classes on Thursday mornings. Please see Mrs Downs if you would like to join either of these.

Coffee morning

The next coffee morning will be on Tuesday 19th June. Please ask Mrs Downs if you are interested, or just come along.
