Head Teacher: Mrs Julie Berrow                                    Deputy Head Teacher: Mrs Jane Cross

On Monday 20th November, Birmingham City Mission presented an assembly about Sharing. On Wednesday Mrs Berrow continued with the theme of everyone being safe and happy. Phase assemblies followed up with Universal Children’s Day. This is the anniversary of the day that the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

This week has really been focussed on how we achieve our school rule of Respect.

Please carry on talking with your children about this at home and we will continue to talk in school.

Children in Need

A very big thank you to everyone who contributed to this. We raised £540!

Coffee morning: Reception places 2018

Please come along on Tuesday 28th November, there will be information about applying for a Reception place. If your child will be five between 1st September 2018 and 31st August 2019, you will need to apply for a place. Even if your child attends Brookfields nursery, this does not guarantee them a Reception place.

This week has also been very busy with educational visits. Y3 visited Castle Bromwich Hall as part of their project on growing and gardening. Y6 have been to St John’s Church. Y4 have been to Tesco for a “Farm to Fork” visit as part of their project on food and cooking.

Stay and Play …

On Thursday 30th November, we will be making gingerbread men. Come along and join us in the Community House.

CELEBRATIONS ASSEMBLIES ARE EVERY FRIDAY AT 9AM IN THE HALL

Y3B will be cooking for next week’s refreshments on Friday 1st December.

Breakfast club is open from 8am every morning cost £1 per child. Please speak to someone in the office if you would like your child to attend. Hot food and drinks available.

If you want to talk to us about anything in school, please come to the office, phone or e-mail us (details at the top of the newsletter). There is also a suggestions box by the school office and senior staff are in the playground every morning.
