This week in English we have been looking at discussion texts alongside our class novel The Boy At the Back of the Class. We discussed and created for and against table before having a debate over ‘If Ahmet was right to fight Brendan-the-Bully’. The children all worked well in groups to put their opinions across whilst trying to use the language of debate that has been taught. We have some excellent debaters in Year 5!
