A subordinating conjunction is a word or words that are used to join a subordinating clause to another clause or sentence.

In Year 2, you need to be able to use four different subordinating
conjunctions: when, if, that, because.

Maths Games

Dancing 2's is a fun way for kids to learn to skip count by 2. Children follow me doing different dances as we count to 100 by 2. Every time we hit a place holder of tens we change dances. Children sing-a-long with me as we dance to this fun skip counting song.

Reading Parent Workshop

The theme for this year’s British Science Week is ‘changes’. We have been observing the changes to some eggs that arrived in school

In Maths we have been measuring in meters. Can you find something at home that is greater than 1m?

The BFG has inspired us to write about our own dreams.

Spring 1 Art and design skills. We have been crafting clay. We had to roll out the clay, cut round a template score the back. Then we pressed objects into the tile to make patterns

Children in Need. We worked together to create a large Pudsey Bear. We completed a comprehension - What is Children in Need?

A huge thank you to all parents/carers for joining us this morning for our reading workshop!

Creating a 3D drawing in colour

Creating 3D drawings in 2B!

The same but different

National Poetry Day

This year’s theme is Refuge. We have listened to the poem Nature trail by Benjamin Zephaniah.

We drew a picture of what refuge means to us, described our refuge and then wrote our own poems using some sentence starters.

Art - Formal elements of art. Creating repeating patterns

In Art we have been making rubbings. The key is to find an object with an interesting texture.
